Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash has postponed his return home until next Friday after suffering complications from open heart surgery in New York, a senior aide said Saturday.
The 78-year-old leader's health is being closely watched amidst expectations that the United Nations (UN) will announce a draft peace plan for the divided island next week, AFP said on Saturday.
Doctors advised Rauf Denktash to delay his return to north Cyprus by a period of two days to allow him more time to recover from two separate operations, aide Ergun Olgun told the news agency. (Albawaba.com)
