A small Russian plane with 28 people on board crashed while landing near Turkey's resort city of Antalya on Saturday. There were no casualties, according to local officials.

Antalya governor Ertugrul Dokuzoglu told CNN-Turk news that several passengers suffered minor injuries during the accident, which took place when the aircraft lost altitude while landing.

The plane, which was flying in from Egypt, hit electricity wires before falling near the runway, the governor added.

Nineteen passengers and nine crewmembers were aboard the plane, which had a capacity of about 40 people, Dokuzoglu told NTV television. According to Turkish media reports, bad weather may have been the cause behind the accident. (Albawaba.com)
