Hundreds of protesters gathered at Whitehall opposite Downing Street in London to protest in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. This was after Israeli troops killed nine during the latest border clashes. Thousands of protesters approached the border fence around Gaza for a second Friday in a row, burning tyres and hurling stones at Israeli forces, who responded with tear gas and live ammunition. Exit polls show an estimated 25 million people participated in the 2018 Egyptian presidential election with election turnout standing at 40 percent.
