The usual images on the Palestine-Israeli conflict involve people, activists, Israeli soldiers and politicians in different states of tumult and violence.

The following pictures show a different more jovial, happy sight of Palestinians, as a fun people, who love life, are sports-conscious, and have deep aspirations. Their presence here are at the sight of pitched up tents in southern Gaza, near the border with Israel, to demonstrate the right of Palestinian refugees to return to the villages and towns they were expelled from when Israel was established in 1948.
The tents are part of a six-week campaign ending on 15 May, protesting the 70th anniversary of its creation.
