Exit polls show an estimated 25 million people participated in the 2018 Egyptian presidential election with election turnout standing at 40 percent. Results indicated presidential candidate Abdel Fattah al-Sisi got around 23 million votes, 92 percent of ballots cast. His rival Moussa Mostafa Moussa received a mere 3 percent of the vote.
