The Israeli army expelled around 800 women and children from the Jenin refugee camp on Wednesday, UNICEF officials said.
The relief organization stated its aide convoy was stopped by Israeli troops at the southern entrance into Jenin.
Citing a report from one International Committee for Red Cross worker who was let into Jenin, UNICEF said the Israeli army had expelled 800 civilians from the refugee camp on the western edge of Jenin.
The women and children were forced out on the streets of Jenin, where they have no protection, food or clothing, UNICEF added, expressing its "serious concern" over the development, according to AFP. (albawaba.com)
