Syrian Health Minister receives International Bank official

Syria’s Health Minister, Dr. Mohammed Iyad Al-Shatti on Monday received the Manager of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the International Bank, Joseph Saba. 

 

During the meeting, talks focused on the existing bilateral relations between the Syrian Health Ministry and the International Bank in the fields of expertise exchange and information for developing the health sector, SANA news agency reported. 

 

Dr. Shatti, for his part, briefed Saba on his ministry’s current and future activities, which aim at improving the performance of the medical services throughout the country. 

 

On his part, Saba spoke about the International Bank’s strategies and goals regarding cooperation with Syria, especially in the medical field.  

 

Moreover, he expressed the International Bank’s readiness to provide expertise and consultations in the fields recommended by the Syrian health ministry, SANA added. 

 

The two sides agreed on cooperation in the fields of qualifying personnel, medical insurance and the food and nutrition board. (Albawaba.com)
