Saudi Water Minister Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Qusaibi emphasized in Riyadh on Tuesday that his Ministry does not have any intention or scheme to raise the current tariffs of water.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr Al-Qusaibi said, "The press speculations which pointed to the new tariffs are not true," adding that he would be the first one to announce if there is any intention to impose new tariffs.
In addition, he said that the present priorities are limited to continue the administrative structure of the Ministry, the beginning of the national plan for the rationalization of the use of water as well as the beginning of desalination and sewerage projects, the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
