Plane Lands in Abadan For First Time In Two Decades

For the first time in the past twenty-one years, a cargo plane landed in Abadan's airport in the southwestern part of Iran on Sunday. The plane had flown in from Dubai.  

 

Head of the Public Relations Department at the Abadan International Airport Javad Najmi told IRNA News Agency that the plane carried 14 tons of electronic and computer instruments.  

 

Najmi said the Abadan International Airport, with its modern technical and aviation facilities has the potential for the landing of large cargo planes. 

 

The Abadan International Airport carries on a day-to-day basis, six flights to Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz and Kish and a weekly flight to Dubai, IRNA added. (Albawaba.com)
