A Palestinian high-ranking official has paid tribute to United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for ordering urgent relief assistance to the besieged Palestinians.
In addition, Palestinian Health Minister Riyad Zanoun hailed Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, UAE President's Wife and Chairperson of the UAE Women's Federation, for launching a humanitarian initiative to offer food items to the medical staff and injured throughout Palestinian hospitals, according to Gulf News.
"Sheikha Fatima's charity program plans to provide 2,700 people with food and other relief supplies for a month. It is a pilot project that will help bolster resistance of Palestinian people against the tyrannical Israeli occupation," the minister said in the course of an interview with Abu Dhabi TV channel during an open day for solidarity with the Palestinian people.
