Ahmed bin Abdul Nabi Macki, Oman’s Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, is to leave for Beirut Thursday at the head of the Sultanate’s delegation to the extraordinary meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council which is scheduled to be held in the Lebanese capital on Saturday, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).
The meeting is set to prepare the economic file for the 14th Arab summit conference, which is scheduled to be held in Beirut between March 27 to 28.
The Council will review issues related to the Arab joint economic action such as the greater Arab free zone, liberalizing inter-Arab service trade, Arab customs union, Arab power grid linkage and other matters, ONA said. (Albawaba.com)
