Morocco's King Mohammed VI is to wed a computer engineer, aged 24, in Rabat later this month, a source close to the royal household said last week.

The 38-year-old Monarch is due to marry Salama Bennani, in a private ceremony on March 21, the source said, adding that an official celebration will be held in mid-April in the city of Marrakesh.

Bennani is the daughter of a teacher, El Haj Abdelhamid Bennani, and her family came originally from the city of Fez. The young lady met the king while living in the capital, Rabat, the source said, according to AFP
