Saif Saeed bin Sa'ed, UAE Foreign Ministry Undersecretary hailed the role played by the media in serving noble human issues, emphasizing the events and their developments, explaining fair causes and focusing on local and Arab achievements.
These comments had been made by the Undersecretary during the opening address of a workshop organized recently by the diplomatic institute at the foreign ministry on the subject of UAE External Information, Between Reality and Aspirations.
In addition, Ibrahim Al Abed, director of the external information department at the ministry of information and culture, spoke at the workshop.
He affirmed that the UAE handled external information with flexibility, reality, transparency and interacted with developments in ways which served principles expressed by UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and specified by higher national interests and common human values.
The workshop, attended by directors of the relevant departments at the foreign ministry, reviewed a wide range of issues on external information and challenges facing them, according to Gulf News. (Albawaba.com)
