Kuwaiti Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah held a telephone conversation Sunday with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmad Maher al-Sayed. Sabah informed Maher on recent developments regarding the Kuwaiti, Jasem al-Randi and Egyptian, Abdulaziz Ahmad, both held by Iraqi authorities at the border last Thursday.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his anguish towards the inhumane procedures taken by the Iraqi authorities against the detainees and emphasized that Kuwait was thoroughly following-up the issue with all concerned bodies so that both the Kuwaiti and Egyptian detainees would be released as soon as possible, according to KUNA.
