King Abdullah II of Jordan received on Monday the Chinese Middle East Envoy Wang Shijie, who affirmed Beijing’s interest in Middle East issues as well as its keenness to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue and the Iraqi crisis, according to Petra news agency.
The Chinese envoy conveyed his country's support to efforts that aim at ending the cycle of violence in the Palestinian territories and starting peace talks in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
The discussions, which were attended by Royal Court chief and the Chinese ambassador in Amman, also focused on relations between Jordan and China.
The Chinese ambassador, for his part, expressed China's keenness to further develop ties between the two countries in various arenas, the news agency added. (Albawaba.com)
