Oman’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said received at his office in Al Husn Palace Wednesday evening Izzat Ibrahim, Vice President of the Iraqi Revolutionary Command Council, who arrived in the Sultanate earlier in the day for a two-day visit.
In the course of the meeting, relations between the two countries were discussed as well as means of enhancing the existing cooperation between Muscat and Baghdad, according to ONA.
The Omani Sultan and Ibrahim discussed issues of joint interest and the situation in the regional and international levels.
According to the News Agency, the meeting was attended by Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary and the delegation accompanying the Iraqi guest. (Albawaba.com)
