The wife of Osama Bin Laden has been quoted as saying that she has a feeling that Bin he is still alive.

“If he had been killed, the whole world would have known it because the death of Bin Laden cannot be kept secret,” she told the London-based Al-Majalla magazine.

Asked whether he had left Afghanistan, she said: “He never told me about his plan to leave Afghanistan. He always talked about his desire to die there.”

On the Sept. 11 attacks, she said that Bin Laden had chosen not to discuss the events with her.

“When I raised that subject once he got angry, and asked me never to discuss such matters with him,” said the woman, who requested that the Arabic magazine should not mention her name.

She revealed that Bin Laden had spoken with her only rarely in recent months.

“He came home very late at night and relaxed for many hours, lying in bed. He did not like to talk with anybody. He used to take sleeping pills so he could forget his worries and the pressure of work.”

Mrs Bin Laden said the Al-Qaeda chief had warned her against going out of their house alone.

Referring to the US allegation that Bin Laden masterminded the Sept. 11 attacks as well as the bombings of two US embassies in Nairobi and Tanzania, his wife said: “I heard him saying more than once that America is enemy number one, which is trying to create problems in our region. He also said that America was trying to kill him and finish him off, and that it deserves such attacks and more. Some youths, with the help of God, succeeded in teaching the US a lesson, he said, and he heaped praise on them.”

Referring to the kidney disease Bin Laden was suffering from, the wife said he used to complain about both his kidneys and stomach pains.

“Once, he told me that he was going to Pakistan for treatment, about two months before the Sept. 11 incident,” she added. (Albawaba.com)
