Four female University students were arrested by the infamous Saudi religious police for participating in “vice and drinking alcohol”, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice had been watching the suspected apartment in Riyadh for a several days before storming the premises, the Arabic language daily Ajel said.

Six men were also arrested after large quantities of liquor were found in the apartment as well.

“They were all drunk…they used the flat for booze nights and practicing vice,” the paper said. The suspects have not been identified at this time.

Prostitution is a heavily underground issue in Saudi as the penalties for this behavior are so high in the Kingdon. This comes after a recent arrest of a man using his Twitter account to run a prostitution ring. There is no connection of the two cases at this time.
