Morocco grabbed their ticket to the quarter-finals today after a well-deserved 3-0 win over the co-host Canada at the Houston stadium in the USA, in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Morocco was the better and stronger side. Even though they looked shaky in the first half, fell back to their defensive areas, and gave Canada the advantage, the Atlas Lions got their balance back in the second half. They took the lead with two great goals from Ounahi, and Rahimi finished it off with a third goal.
Match Highlights and Goals
After an unusual performance from Morocco and Canada missing more than one chance to take the lead, the score stayed the same and the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Ounahi came back and doubled the score with a second goal in the 82nd minute to officially secure the qualification. With this result, Morocco goes through to the quarter-finals to face the winner of the Paraguay and France match, which will be played later today.
