Mohammed Al Murr inaugurates exhibition of Salvador Dali’s monumental works in Opera Gallery at The Dubai Mall

His Excellency Mohammed Al Murr, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, inaugurated an exhibition of monumental works by illustrious artist Salvador Dali at the Opera Gallery in The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest entertainment and shopping destination.

The gallery is showcasing 11 table sculptures, nine jewelry sculptures, and two museum sculptures; while seven monumental sculptures will be located in the mall’s Grand Atrium and Bloomingdales, located on the ground floor apart from two other monumental sculptures at the Grand Entrance of The Dubai Mall.

Regarded as the world’s foremost surrealist artists, Dali’s repertoire of work encompasses paintings, sculptures, photography and films.  Underlining the diversity of his body of work, 31 pieces that also highlight the surreal approach of Dali will be displayed in The Dubai Mall from November 2 to 29, 2011.
