Egypt’s Alexandria National Iron and Steel Company (ANSDK) recorded net profits of 271.9 million Egyptian pounds ($44 million) in the first nine months of 2003 compared to net losses of EP 32.6 million during the same period last year.
ANSDK produces and distributes reinforcing bars and billets. The company was established in 1982 exports its products to Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United States, Canada, Spain, Sudan and China. In 1998, the company was awarded ISO 14000 certification. — (menareport.com)
