World Refugee Day, is a global event observed on June 20 every year. This day is marked in order to raise awareness of the situation of refugees around the world.
On the other hand, the UN Refugee Agency has recently published a new report showing that over 70 million people were forced to leave their homes in 2018, because of wars, conflicts and persecutions.
The number of refugees topped 25.9 million around the world last year, showing that this result is the highest level recorded in the past 70 years.
