Switzerland earned a well-deserved 4-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in an exciting clash at SoFi Stadium, as part of the second round of Group B fixtures at the 2026 World Cup.
The Swiss national team currently tops Group B with 4 points. Following their 1-1 draw against Qatar and today's win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, they have one foot in the next round before their final group stage match against Canada.

The first half was goalless, but with Switzerland dominating the game and holding 62% possession, the players managed to turn their efforts into goals in the second half.
Switzerland opened the scoring in the 74th minute through Johan Manzambi. They doubled their lead with a second goal from Ruben Vargas in the 84th minute. Manzambi then struck again in the 90th minute, scoring the third goal and ending any hopes for the Bosnian team.
Trying to save face, Bosnia and Herzegovina managed to score their only goal of the match in the third minute of stoppage time through Ermin Mahmic. However, Switzerland quickly responded to seal their well-deserved win with a final goal in the 97th minute by Granit Xhaka.
