Videos: Masked men threaten to burn Notre Dame, all churches in France

ALBAWABA - A video has triggered public anger and circulated on social media, showing three masked men threatening to burn all the churches in France.

In the 26-second clip, three men were seen standing next to a 3D model of the French church, Notre Dame Cathedral, before the man in the middle started speaking and vowing to burn down all churches, if Paris rejects their demand of releasing "Brahim Issaoui".

The man in the video is heard saying, "We demand the government of France to release our brother Brahim Issaoui." He added, "If he is not free, the God's wrath will be upon your people here in France!"

The masked man continued, "Your churches will burn, by God's will."

When the man said his final words, the other person next to him set the model of Notre Dame church on fire.

Who is Brahim Issaoui?

Brahim Issaoui, a Tunisian migrant, was arrested on suspicion of stabbing to death three people to death at a church in the French city of Nice.

According to France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor, the Tunisian 26-year-old man left Sfax city for the Italian island of Lampedusa on a migrant boat, but it is not clear when he arrived in Nice.
