Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh urged Iraq on Wednesday to cooperate with United Nations weapons inspectors and save itself from a US-led war.
Yemen "exhorts Iraq to pursue cooperation (with UN arms inspectors) to remove any pretext that could be used to interfere in its domestic affairs," Saleh told Iraqi Information Miniser Mohammed Said al-Sahhaf.
Saleh added that Sana’a was "opposed to any military action against Iraq or interference in its domestic affairs by any regional or international party," in remarks carried by SABA news agency.
Sahhaf, on his part, delivered Saleh a message from Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. (Albawaba.com)
