ALBAWABA - Turkey recently witnessed a horrifying incident when a gunman started shooting with a shotgun from inside a taxi in Gaziantep. A video of the shooting flooded social media, capturing the moment the taxi driver intervened and disarmed the man.
Online reports indicate that a couple hijacked a 58-year-old taxi driver, and held him at gunpoint, before shooting at local officers at close range. In response, the taxi driver clashed with the gunman and eventually disarmed him. In response to the distressing event, the internet has now dubbed the taxi driver a brave hero for preventing the potential loss of many innocent lives.
The footage in question captured the gunman crying before being taken away by authorities alongside his alleged partner.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Damn, that taxi driver's got ice in his veins facing a shotgun in a moving car and still disarming the guy point-blank. Real hero stuff, not the scripted movie kind. Turkey's got some tough souls."
Another added, "That’s real bravery and fighting spirit right there. Most people would freeze in fear, but this man refused to be a victim. Turkey should be proud of this legend. Respect! What an inspiration, shows that courage is still alive in men who refuse to give up."
