ALBAWABA - An Iranian news agency reported on Thursday that explosions were reported in the southern city of Bushehr, later confirming that a U.S. missile had landed near the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
An Iranian official also said that a U.S. attack targeted a perimeter of the nuclear plant on Thursday.
The U.S. and Iran renewed airstrikes, resulting in casualties in the Islamic Republic, just hours before the final funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in his hometown of Mashhad.
The Iranian Ministry of Health reported Thursday that at least 14 people had been killed in the American airstrikes across the country on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Head of Public Relations & Information Center, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Hossein Kermanpour, said in a post on X that "during the ceasefire, the United States targeted five Iranian provinces" on Wednesday and Thursday.
On the other hand, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement on X that it hit 90 positions in Iran, targeting air defense systems, missile and drone storage sites, and other assets.
In response, Iran's military announced it struck "key infrastructure and facilities" at U.S. bases in Arifjan and Ali Al Salem in Kuwait, and Juffair and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain.
The Bushehr nuclear power plant, described as "Iran's and the Middle East's first nuclear power plant," is located 17 kilometers southeast of Bushehr, along the Persian Gulf. The facility covers an area of approximately 2.5 square kilometers and includes the reactor building and other supporting structures.
