ALBAWABA - The death of Turkish actress Ece İrtem caused shock and huge sorrow among her fans and the artistic community in the country.
Additionally, the cause of her death remained a source of speculation, with some claiming it was a monkey bite during her last trip to Thailand. However, new investigations uncovered the real reason behind the actress' sudden death.
Lawyer Ugur Okkuyun confirmed that Ece İrtem, 35, had indeed been bitten by a monkey while in Thailand and received treatment for her injuries, but her death was due to another cause.

Not a monkey bite: Ece İrtem's real cause of death revealed
Ece İrtem died of a sudden heart attack on June 15 at her house in the Kadıköy district on the Asian side of Istanbul, just hours after appearing in public with her mother, seemingly in good health one day after her birthday.
Ertem's mother discovered her daughter's death when she tried to wake her on Sunday afternoon, June 15th. She was buried in her hometown in Aydın province, western Turkey.
The autopsy results revealed that the young actress Ece İrtem died of alcohol poisoning, and that the monkey bite she suffered during her recent trip to Thailand was unrelated to her sudden death.

The lawyer for the star further explained that his late client, İrtem, died as a result of consuming large quantities of alcohol before her death on June 15th at her home in Istanbul.
Ece İrtem's is best known for her role as Işıl in the hit series "Kızılcık Şerbeti" (Cranberry Sorbet). The Turkish star also appeared in numerous other television productions throughout her career.
