UN nuclear weapons inspectors have found blueprints in Iran for an advanced-type centrifuge that the Islamic Republic had failed to declare despite saying it had revealed all about its atomic programme, diplomats on Thursday told AFP.
The fresh findings come at a time of mounting concern about nuclear proliferation after the discovery of the "rogue procurement network" led by Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founder of Pakistan's nuclear bomb.
Late Wednesday, "Western officials" were quoted as saying by the Financial Times that that the International Atomic Energy Agency's findings in Iran would be included in a progress report prepared by Mohamed ElBaradei, the nuclear watchdog's director general, ahead of the IAEA's board meeting in March.
The new data comes as the UK, France and Germany continue to press Tehran to suspend uranium-enrichment activities. (Albawaba.com)
