ALBAWABA - An intruder wearing a mascot costume recently sparked outrage after jumping into Ichikawa Zoo's monkey enclosure, where the viral baby Punch resides.

Despite the clear restrictions displayed at the zoo, the mascot identified as "Memecoin" on X (formerly Twitter) illegally entered the enclosure, and the monkeys, including Punch, were captured running away. Moreover, another video showed Punch and other monkeys hiding inside a cave.

In response, Ichikawa Zoo released a statement on X confirming that the intruder and his partner were handed over to the police. The zoo added, "In response, we conducted safety checks on the animals and facilities. With some viewing areas closed and security measures strengthened, the park will remain open today until 16:30 as usual."

The controversial content creator has reshared several posts reporting the issue at hand, adding fuel to the fire. Many viewed it as a stunt to gain traction on social media. Several users on the platform called for the user's ban, urging other users to mass-report them.

A user wrote, "This is horrible. No respect for the well being of the monkeys, the care takers, or Ichikawa Zoo. I can’t believe this. Especially with all the new babies and the stress that is caused the mothers and all of the other monkeys. What a selfish uncaring human being. "

Another added, "What an absolute idiot, I hope they charge and arrest him."
