ALBAWABA - The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that its troops had launched a major attack on Ukrainian military targets and energy facilities throughout the course of the night.

The attack was focused on a ship that was reportedly transporting ammunition and weapons that Western countries had delivered to Ukraine. The government said that the cargo ship, which was carrying weapons and missiles that were supplied to Kyiv, was struck, but it did not give any more information.

According to the ministry, attack drones and high-precision weaponry were used in the operation, which was directed on vital energy infrastructure—a crucial component of Ukraine's military-industrial complex. The locations of military personnel and drone manufacturing facilities were also targeted by the attacks. The report states that all operational goal was accomplished.

According to the government, some 2,150 Ukrainian servicemen lost their lives in combat in the last 24 hours. According to reports, "North" forces attacked Ukrainian divisions in the Kharkiv area, effectively repelling three assaults and causing around 135 enemy military deaths.

While this was going on, troops belonging to the "West" group improved their tactical positions and targeted enemy soldiers and equipment in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk. As a consequence, around 435 Ukrainian military personnel were lost, and two counteroffensives were successfully repelled. An estimated 840 enemy troops were lost, according to the "South" faction in Donetsk, who claimed to have taken more advantageous positions.

Furthermore, in Donetsk, the "Center" group penetrated further into enemy fortifications, fending off nine counterattacks and inflicting around 520 losses on Ukrainian troops. By strengthening their front-line positions, the "East" group caused around 160 enemy casualties.

The "Dnieper" group attacked enemy soldiers and equipment in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas, resulting in around 60 extra combat deaths for Ukraine. In addition, two missile and artillery depots were destroyed, and 153 enemy troop concentrations were targeted, according to the report. Finally, it was stated that 177 Ukrainian drones, ten HIMARS missiles, three French-made Hammer guided bombs, and six Neptune missiles were intercepted during the operations.
