Several hundred Palestinians protested Saturday outside Doha's embassy in Baghdad against the presence of United States bases in Qatar.
"Aggressive US presence in Qatar threatens Arab nation security," read one banner among portraits of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
According to AFP, Palestinian representatives handed over a letter to the ambassador urging Doha to "reviews its position before it is too late".
"We are here to condemn the transformation of Qatar into a base for an assault on the Arab nation," said Ahmad Aallush, a member of the pro-Iraqi Palestinian group Arab Liberation Front. (Albawaba.com)
