Two projectiles fired from Syria landed in Israel close to the border fence on Tuesday, a military source told Reuters. No injuries or damage were reported in the incident.
Air raid sirens went off in the Golan Heights and local residents reported hearing the sounds of explosions just after noon.
It was not immediately clear if the projectiles were intentionally fired at Israel or were accidental spill over from fighting between Syrian rebels and Assad regime forces.
The sirens came amid tension in the North after Israel reportedly struck targets belonging to the Syrian army over the weekend.

The IDF has officially declined to comment on the reports.
In an apparent response to the alleged Israeli air strikes, suspected Hezbollah operatives attacked Israel on Sunday night, when four terrorists from an Assad regime-controlled area in Syria tried to plant bombs on the border with Israel, before being killed in an IAF strike.
