Microsoft Gulf today kicked off a Gulf-wide roadshow, to help organizations in the region to improve the security and efficiency of their IT infrastructure. The Microsoft Security & Management Tour 2006 will visit UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait, will show IT professionals and business decision makers how Microsoft solutions can help them to create secure, robust and efficient IT architectures for their organizations.
The Microsoft Security & Management Tour 2006 will take place in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait, and aims to reach over one thousand IT professionals and managers across the region. As organizations in the Middle East look to deploy more advanced business applications, so infrastructures need to be able to handle and more diverse security threats.
“One of the key messages that Microsoft hears from its customers is that they want to reduce the complexity of managing their IT infrastructure, to automate routine tasks and to give them more powerful tools to handle complex tasks more efficiently. This roadshow gives us an opportunity to demonstrate to those IT professionals how Microsoft technologies can improve monitoring and management of processes, and help to maintain the performance and security of their systems,” said Desmond Nair, Server and Tools Business Group Manager, Microsoft Gulf.
Attendees to the event will be able to participate in sessions on operational efficiency, and get updated on Microsoft’s server roadmap and latest developments in trustworthy computing. There will also be specific focus sessions on Windows Server 2003 R2, Virtual Server 2005 R2 and Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, and secure messaging.
The tour begins in Dubai on 28th March at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and then moves to the Sheraton Hotel Bahrain on 2nd April and the Crowne Plaza Hotel Muscat on 5th April, before concluding at the Kuwait Sheraton on 10th April.
