ALBAWABA - Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that he previously held a 7-hour meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Tasnim news agency reported Monday.
According to the Iranian news agency, Pezeshkian unveiled what he discussed with the supreme leader during their meeting, which lasted for 7 hours.
It is worth noting that Mojtaba Khamenei has been absent from public appearances since taking power following the killing of his father, Ali Khamenei, in a U.S.-Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic back on February 28.
According to Reuters, which cited an inner circle of the supreme leader, Mojtaba's face was disfigured, and he suffered a significant wound to one or both legs.
Mojtaba Khamenei was also injured in the same strike that killed his father and several members of his family.

Iranian president's meeting with Khamenei: Major discussion points
Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian revealed that they had a rich meeting where Mojtaba emphasized maintaining unity in the Iranian community, in addition to keeping national cohesion, and paying attention to the people's livelihoods.
The meeting comes amid continued tension between Tehran and Washington as talks failed to reach a final deal to end the war, which started last February. Despite the memorandum of understanding (MOU), talks were stalled between the two warring countries and the Strait of Hormuz, which opened for a short time, was closed again by the Iranian Army.
On the other hand, the United States has been maintaining a naval blockade against Iranian ports since mid-April with the aim of reducing Iran's oil exports to pressure it to strike a deal with Washington.
