ALBAWABA - Iran's semi-official news agency posted the first public video of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who has been away from public appearances since being elected following the killing of his father, Ali Khamenei, in an Israeli-American strike on Iran in February.

Mehr News Agency posted the clip on August 8, but it didn't clarify the date or the location of the footage. Mojtaba Kahmenei was seen sitting and surrounded by a group of men, with some saying he was teaching them a lesson.

The video came amid ongoing social media speculations about the health of the supreme leader, who was seriously injured in the February attack by the U.S. and Israel.

According to Reuters, Mojtaba's face was disfigured, and he suffered a significant wound to one or both legs.

Mojtaba Khamenei also missed the funeral of his father and other family members back in July, triggering more rumors that he is in a bad situation, despite Iranian officials and media outlets defending it as security measures.

During the funeral of Ali Khamenei, Iranian state TV showed his three children: Mostafa, Meysam and Masoud Khamenei, behind the coffins, who were seen in the vast courtyard of Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in the capital, Tehran.
