ALBAWABA - In an official statement, the International Criminal Court announced that it is seeking to issue an arrest warrant against Myanmar's junta chief Min Aung Hlaing.

The ICC has asked judges to issue an arrest warrant for Myanmar's junta commander Min Aung Hlaing for alleged crimes against humanity against Rohingya Muslims.

"After an extensive, independent, and impartial investigation, my office has concluded that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Senior General and Acting President Min Aung Hlaing... bears criminal responsibility for crimes against humanity," ICC Chief Karim Khan stated.
