GE Power Unit Opens First Mideast Office in Dubai

GE Energy Rentals, a General Electric Power Systems division that provides short-term power solutions, has opened its first Middle East office in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone, reported the Gulf News on Saturday.  

Regional offices are also planned for Jeddah, Dammam, Cairo and Mangalore, said the paper.  

"GE Energy Rentals specializes in meeting short-term or emergency needs for electricity generation," said Nabil Habayeb, general manager for the Middle East. 

He added that the division mainly targets the utility, commercial, industrial, construction, energy exploration and special events markets.  

"We don't just rent equipment, we sell solutions," operations manager, Guss Saade, said.  

"We tailor products and services to customers' needs and provide 24-hour support through a dedicated help-line, all backed with GE's superb global strength."  

GE Energy Rentals offers a range of products that includes 6kW to 22.8 megawatt generator sets, 30-ton air-conditioners to 1,000-ton water-cooled chillers, pumps, fuel tanks, transformers and switch-gear, he added - Albawaba.com
