Iran determines certain number of ships to pass Strait of Hormuz

ALBAWABA - After reopening the Strait of Hormuz following the agreement on a ceasefire deal between Iran and the United States, a Tehran official said that the country will allow a certain number of ships to pass via the strait daily. 

Tass reported citing an Iranian official, the country said that only 15 vessels would be able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz every day.

Earlier today, Iran announced alternative shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz, including a new map designed to help vessels avoid mines laid during the conflict with the United States and Israel.

The Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy published a map outlining alternative routes for ships in the Strait of Hormuz to help them avoid sea mines.

Iran and the United States announced Tuesday a two-week ceasefire deal to end the war, which began on February 28, when Washington and Tel Aviv declared a preemptive attack on Tehran.
