ALBAWABA - French prosecutors announced that a modelling scout with links to American financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found dead, AFP reported Wednesday.

Daniel Siad was on trial in France after being accused of aiding Epstein in trafficking and abusing women. He was among six other men facing the same accusations.

Siad was found dead inside his house outside Paris. "An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery", the Nanterre prosecutor's office added.

Epstein ran a vast international sex trafficking network involving underage women and girls and was arrested by the police.

He was also found dead inside his prison cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City on August 10, 2019.

The official ruling by the New York City medical examiner was suicide by hanging.
