The French Government will pay as of next month higher pensions to Moroccan War veterans who served in the French Army during its liberation war against the Nazis, visiting French Secretary of State for former combatants has announced.
According to MAP, Hamlaoui Mekachera paid homage to those veterans, saying that some 85,000 Moroccans had participated in the war between 1942 and 1945 following the appeal by the late king Mohammed V, grandfather of King Mohammed VI.
