Four Palestinians were wounded in clashes Saturday after two funerals in the West Bank town of Hebron for Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers.
"Revenge, revenge, Hamas must come and take revenge," many of the some 7,000 mourners chanted during the Hebron funeral of Mansur Sayed Ahmad, 22, who was shot in the stomach with a live bullet Friday after Palestinians tried to march on the Israeli-controlled Jewish enclave of Hebron on Friday.
After the funeral, dozens of youths threw stones at Israeli soldiers guarding the Jewish area in Hebron. The soldiers responded by firing rubber-coated steel bullets.
Several thousand Palestinians also attended a funeral at the Fawar refugee camp south of Hebron for Shadi Mohamad al-Wawi, 22, who was fatally shot in the head while driving a car in southern Hebron.
Clashes broke out after that funeral too, but without causing injuries -- HEBRON, West Bank (AFP)
