ALBAWABA - Following rocket fire from southern Lebanon, Israeli media reported numerous explosions in Tel Aviv and central Israel. The Israeli army bombed eastern Lebanon's Bekaa and southern Beirut's suburbs after five rocket salvos hit Israeli positions in the Galilee.

The Israeli military reported five rocket launches from Lebanon, with one ground-to-ground missile landing in central Israel. Channel 12 stated that Lebanon launched 16 rockets, one of which fell into the sea off Nahariya.

Over 100 Galilee and Jezreel Valley cities heard air raid sirens, according to Walla. The Home Front Command reported sirens in Upper Galilee, Central Galilee, northern Golan Heights, and Safed.

Israeli radio reported continual sirens in Haifa Bay, the Galilee, Wadi Ara, and northern West Bank communities.

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed that they had launched "Fadi 1" missiles at Kabri and "Fadi 3" rockets at Ramat David Airbase east of Haifa.

Hezbollah said that these attacks supported the Palestinian people in Gaza, bolstered their resistance, and defended Lebanon and its civilians. The strikes retaliated Israel's "brutal assault" on residential neighborhoods.

Hezbollah adopted "Fadi" missiles this week to attack vast regions rather than particular targets, a change in their tactics in the fight with Israel.

This current operation followed one of the most intensive nights of Israeli bombings in Beirut's southern suburbs, with nearly 40 attacks. The strikes are the most severe since the start of the conflict a year ago and the July 2006 battle.

Israel claimed the bombings damaged Hezbollah's munitions manufacturing and sophisticated weapons storage facilities, but the organization disputed it.
