The European Commission on Thursday said it was allocating 11 million euro (9.9 million dollars) in humanitarian aid to Sierra Leone.
The aid, to be channeled through the Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO), will cover water, sanitation, health and food needs, with special support for women, children, and amputees, said a commission statement.
The aid to children will include ex-child soldiers, it said.
It will cover only Sierra Leone, not refugees in camps in neighboring countries – BRUSSELS (AFP)
