eSys Technologies, the fastest growing IT component distribution network in the world, has announced that its newly launched partner loyalty programme, ‘ePaL’ has resulted in a 60 per cent increase in business for the company during the first quarter ended June 30, 2005.

eSys Technologies launched ePaL for its channel in the Middle East and North African markets and is based on a simple ‘points for business’ system, with a host of rewards including mobile phones, PDAs, laptops, iPods, cameras and 42 inch plasma screens to be won by the ePaLs.

“The success of this partner loyalty programme has far exceeded our expectations and has had a significant positive impact on our business and overall market share,” said Pavan Gupta, General Manager, eSys Technologies. “The efforts of our partners have been commendable and we are glad that we can reward them appropriately with our well-designed loyalty programme. ePaL has contributed in enhancing our relationship with our partners and we now share a strong bond that ensures mutual benefit.”

Tarun Nandi, Managing Director, Blue Bell Computers, said, “Our close association with a leading company like eSys has boosted our image in the market as well. The ePaL programme has provided an added impetus for us to continue our commitment in maximising sales of eSys’ products in a competitive market environment.”

The eSys Partner Loyalty Programme matches business targets to points achieved, which can then be redeemed at the end of each quarter against rewards. For every US$ 10,000/- worth of business with eSys, the ePaL’s account will be credited with 1 reward point. This means, in effect, that business worth US$ 400,000/- for example would merit 40 ePaL points. Even after redemption, the ePaL will be awarded 10 per cent of their accumulated reward points earned in the quarter as loyalty bonus for the next quarter.

However, there is a Minimum Qualifying Criterion (MQC) for each quarter, which must be met to redeem rewards. The MQC differs depending upon on-ground realities in the various markets that make up the Middle East and North Africa region; it can be as low as US$ 50,000/- or go up to US$ 1.5 Million.

“The ePaL programme takes our relationship with eSys Technologies to the next level and has built stronger ties between us. Moreover, ePaL has been designed taking into account various influencing market factors to ensure that the programme is fair and measurable,” said Punit V. Jagada of Prince Computer.

Once eligible for redemption, the Reward points can be utilised within 90 days of end of the respective quarter; in situations where MQC is not achieved, although the ePaL is not entitled to redeem the points, 50 per cent of their accumulated points will be carried forward to the next quarter.

“eSys is focussed on partner packages customised to each partner’s need. ePaL has been created as a means of sharing its success with long term partners and we look forward to the continued loyalty from our partners and in the process further develop the programme with their feedback and suggestions,” concluded Gupta.
