Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo is due to meet with pro-government political groups Thursday, to review a French-brokered peace agreement that appears to be on the verge of collapse. President Gbagbo is also to meet with traditional tribal chiefs, as he prepares for a national address to explain his government's stance on the accord with rebels groups.
Gbagbo publicly accepted the peace deal Saturday after talks in France, but has referred to the accord as a "set of proposals" since returning to Abidjan. (Albawaba.com)
