Damascus Radio on Wednesday affirmed that the United States’ threats against the region are “very dangerous” and their accelerating statements indicate that the intentions are not directed towards a solution, but rather towards military action, which would lead the entire region to the “unknown”.
In its daily political commentary, the state-run radio, cited by SANA, said that preventing a war on Iraq should be the most important mission for Arabs, regional countries and peace, security, stability and justice seekers throughout the world.
The radio called on Iraq’s neighboring countries to exert regional and international efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Iraqi issue.
It added that it is Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Jordan and Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministers’ mission, during their upcoming meeting in Istanbul and Damascus to find such a peaceful solution. (Albawaba.com)
