ALBAWABA- The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters targeted a group of 25 Israeli soldiers taking refuge in a building in the Al-Najili area, central Rafah. 

According to the statement, the attack killed and injured several soldiers.

Al-Qassam Brigades reported that "In a complex operation, our fighters raided a building fortified by an Israeli infantry force of 25 soldiers in the Al-Shaboura camp, central Rafah. Using various weapons, they successfully neutralized the entire force, killing and injuring all its members."

The brigades further claimed that their fighters detonated a minefield under two troop carriers that arrived to rescue the soldiers trapped in the building. The clash in the Al-Najili area, located in the Al-Shaboura camp in central Rafah, is reportedly ongoing.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that five soldiers were killed and 11 others wounded after an anti-tank missile targeted a military force in northern Gaza.

 Additionally, Herzliya Municipality confirmed the death of another Israeli soldier during battles in Gaza on the same day.
