ALBAWABA - According to a report by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), two civilians were injured in an Israeli strike on the countryside city of al-Qusayr in Homs, near the border with Lebanon.
A Syrian military source spoke to SANA saying "At around 09:00 p.m. on Monday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of Lebanese territory, targeting the crossing points that it had previously targeted on the Syrian-Lebanese border in al-Qusayr area in Homs countryside,".
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the bombings had "killed two Syrians working with Hezbollah and injured five others," providing a preliminary toll.
Earlier, the Syrian monitor with a network of sources reported that "Israeli strikes targeted" an official land border crossing in the Qusayr area as well as six bridges on the Orontes River near the border with Lebanon.
In a separate attack, a Syrian soldier died of wounds sustained along with ten other members when a military overnight bus was targeted by the detonation of an IED planted by unidentified people near Al-Haisa Village on the road between Homs and Misyaf in the northwestern Homs region.
Furthermore, security personnel mobilized, blocking the roads and conducting wide-ranging combing operations in search of the criminals, although no party has yet claimed credit for the attack.
