ALBAWABA - Sydney Sweeney stuns fans with daring topless lingerie campaign.
I wouldn't say it's a surprise that Sydney Sweeney's underwear line launch has already caused many viral moments. She's always in the news, whether it's for a controversial jeans ad or the latest rumors about her relationship with Scooter Braun. First there was the mess with the Hollywood sign. Now there's a new movie telling people to "do what makes you naked." Please, let's look into that more.
After getting "slammed" over the swimwear she wore in Anyone But You, the Housemaids star became very interested in making great underwear. Now she's started a company called SYRN, which is pronounced "siren," not "cern." In their new ad, Sydney Sweeney is shown lying in bed, arching her back off of a chair, and taking off layers of "comfy" underwear. Instagram is where you can see the video:
It would be interesting for someone selling lingerie to use the "Do What Makes You Naked" hook, but definitely not to get people to take off their clothes. Or maybe that's what makes it so clever? Sydney Sweeney slowly removes pieces of clothing to reveal more lingerie underneath, all while an urgent clock ticks in the background, creating a compelling contradiction.

In any case, I have no problems. I'm sure that when SYRN's "comfy collection" of underwear comes out on March 4, it will sell out in hours, just like her first collection did.
Sydney Sweeney has done a lot to promote her new line. She released a video of her act with the Hollywood sign, in which she, a few other people, and a dog decorated the sign with what looked like hundreds of SYRN bras that were hooked together. Undoubtedly, the stunt was successful, but it also caused significant problems for the actress.
Jeff Zarrinnam, head of the Hollywood Sign Trust, says that her team got permission to film in Griffith Park, but they did not have permission to use the sign in their movies or film it for business purposes. He also said that he doesn't believe the video to be real and that he thinks CGI was used, especially in the last shot where the whole sign is covered in lingerie.
Sydney Sweeney definitely got what she wanted from the press side of things, but it's not clear what's going on behind the scenes or if she will be charged with anything.
The fact that Sydney Sweeney was able to start a whole lingerie line and be a part of this crazy marketing effort shows how busy she has been with her acting jobs. This year, she had five movies come out: Christy, Echo Valley, Eden, and Americana. Her latest film, The Housemaid, achieved unprecedented success at the box office.
She's also not done yet; she's coming back for the long-awaited third season of Euphoria on April 12 and is said to appear in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which comes out in theaters on May 1. We will definitely keep an eye on all of these movies she posts for SYRN while we wait for those.
